There are so many crypto mining programs, and Minerstat is a great place to start.

Despite there being paid programs, this free version is a simple solution for crypto mining.

Get started with Minerstat

Create a new account on Minerstat

Figure out what kind of Graphics Card is in the system by opening the Windows Device Manager
Open the Windows Device Manager tool
Open the Device Manager
Look for your GPU under the Display adaptors section
Expand the Display adapters section. This sample laptop has an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti card

Go back to Minerstat.com > Workers

Click Add new worker.

Create a name for the worker.

Find the card type from the device manager.

Set your system information.

Click Add worker.

Once the worker has been added, Download and Install the node. Take note of the Access key. You’ll need this access key to run the program on your computer or to log into your Minerstat account.

Look for the download in your browser

When the program opens, add the Access key from Minerstat.com

Add the access key to the Minerstat window to enter your system configuration

Now onto set up the wallet information and chose which currency to mine
Set up your wallet addresses
Go to Address Editor

In Address editor, click Wallets.

Use the address editor to change the pool addresses
Change the wallet addresses
The default values are set to pay out to donation wallets. Click on the pencil to edit. Change the value to your wallet address for each coin.
Find your wallet address in Coinbase and copy it
Find the wallet address from your Coinbase.com account, by clicking Receive, then picking the correct Asset (coin)

Update all of your wallets, even if you only plan to mine in one. Accidents happen!

Navigate to Worker config to set up the cryptocurrency to mine

Find the worker, then click the Simple tab, and change the coin

Change the coin to be mined within the Minerstat settings
VERY IMPORTANT
Check the pool!! AND THE WALLET!

By default, our example with ETC starts in a eu1 (European) pool. Different pools charge different fees, pay out on different schedules, and distribute the coins differently. (Find out more about pools in Minerstat)

Later, you’ll need to find the website for your pool in order to check your mining stats and figure out when you will get paid. (See Monitor Mining)

Our favorites for mining are…

ETC US Pool us1-etc.etermine.org:4444

ETH US West us2.ethermine.org:4444

Once you are happy with the pool you’re mining out of, make sure that the right wallet is selected

Change the pool address in Minerstat to move to a specific mining pool
The Pool address with port on Minerstat is the
Pool address (us1-etc.ethermine.org)
followed by a semi-colon :
and then the port number,
here us1-etc.ethermine.org:4444

Check that your worker is set up on Minerstat.com, then start the program

View workers in Minerstat to see active crypto mining rigs
Your worker should now show up on your Workers dashboard
Click the Start mining button to begin cryptomining
